Killin Music Festival in the running for Event of the Year
Killin Music Festival, recently relaunched for it’s first weekend in June 2016, has been announced as one of five finalists in the running for Event of the Year in the MG Alba Scots Trad Music Awards.
Glass recycling bin collection move to every 4 weeks
Stirling Council has changed glass collection to four weekly, moving away from the previous two. The council said that the change was made in response to feedback from some members of the public, as well as data from collections that show a marked decrease in the glass collected every two weeks.
Superfast upgrade plans withdrawn
A planning application for the installation of a PCP and BT Broadband cabinet on the main street of Killin has been withdrawn. The application received by Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park (LLTNP) on 8th September 2016, was withdrawn by the applicant by November 2016.

New Recycling and Waste Collection Service FAQs
Stirling Council are in the process of rolling out changes to their waste and recycling collection service, providing a further 2x 240L bins to most households in addition to their existing bins. The council forwarded the frequently asked questions below for publication.
