Bridge of Lochay successful at Scottish Hotel Awards
The Bridge of Lochay Hotel at the north end of Killin has been named as a regional winner in the 2015 Scottish Hotel Awards. The team are now in the running to be selected as a national winner in their category and then as overall Scottish Hotel of the Year 2015.
Loch Tay Internet to provide alternative to fibre
Loch Tay Internet is a high speed broadband service expected to be operating around much of Loch Tay by May 2015. The service will be run over radio waves rather than the traditional telephone line provision. The service will be provided by ABInternet, contact David Tomlinson and will provide various speeds depending on subscription level.
Tackling poverty in remote rural areas
Rural Stirling Housing Association (RSHA) has arranged for a study into the problems and issues facing those on low incomes and otherwise disadvantaged in the remote rural Stirling area.

Locals needed to help steer KAT
The 2015 Killin and Ardeonaig Trust (KAT) AGM will take place on Saturday 28th March in the Killin Hotel at 11am. Currently there are nine directors, including the chair and a Company Secretary. The maximum number of Directors is twelve, of which two are reserved for Community Councillors and one for Environmental Action Killin (EAK).

Go-kart competition to return to Killin Show
The Killin Agricultural Show 2015 will see the welcome return of their best go-kart competition and fastest go-kart race to their schedule. In recent years the show has grown and seen the addition of other events such as the scarecrow competition, go-kart race and bucking bronco alongside the regulars.
Keep calm and join a choir!
The Killin Community Choir is looking for new members. They are especially in need of some more men! The choir meet at the Church of Scotland every Tuesday evening at 7.30pm. No need to be able to read music and no auditions to join.
Killin Post Office to extend hours
The Killin Post Office branch, in MacGregor’s Market and Cafe, is to extend it’s opening hours in the Spring. The branch will soon be changing to a new style of local branch enabling the Post Office to extend the overall range of products and services available at the branch.
