On Friday 17th June, the award winning, trad-rock band Skerryvore will play the McLaren Hall – a first visit to the village for the band. Skerryvore were recently described in the Falkirk Herald as “Six of the best musical ambassadors Scotland could ever have wished for… a living, breathing, twelve legged party waiting to happen.”
Since first seeing Skerryvore in Barra in 2009, I’ve attended many of their gigs at various venues around the country; when they asked fans to suggest venues for a ‘wee village’ tour in 2014 (similar to their hugely successful “Small Halls” tour in 2013), I immediately thought … where better than our very own McLaren Hall? … and I’m delighted that they’ve decided to give Killin a go.
With doors opening at 7 p.m. there will be a bar, raffle and music provided throughout the night until 1am, it promises to be a fantastic night and one not be missed!
Tickets are available from News First or can be purchased online at www.skerryvore.com – priced at £15 each. Please note that all under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.
Profits from the night will be split between the Falls of Dochart Retirement Home and Killin and District Scout Group.
Please come along and enjoy a really cracking night out … while providing support for two worthy local causes.
