Temporary bin collection timetable
Stirling Council household waste and recycling services are operating on a new temporary timetable due to the current national emergency. Due to the developing COVID-19 situation, Stirling Council is making necessary changes to household waste and recycling arrangements.
Free exercise activities for the older and less mobile
Later Life Training, a not for profit training company based in Killin, is running free live Facebook movement activities for those who are less mobile or older. These movement snacks last for 10-15 minutes and help keep the circulation moving, mobilise the joints and some functional activities that will help maintain your strength and balance.

COVID-19 community support line launched
The response from Stirling’s people during the Covid-19 situation has been amazing, with over 200 individuals, groups, third sector organisations or organisations coming forward to offer support to others so far. Stirling Council and Stirlingshire Voluntary Enterprise (SVE) will now start working closely with this network to support those most in need.
Killin Highland Games 2020 cancelled
Due to the on-going uncertainties over the Covid-19 virus, the Killin Highland Games have been postponed for 12 months. Games chairman, Charlie Grant says, “We take the health and safety of our local community, visitors, exhibitors and contestants very seriously and need to plan many months in advance.
Brown bin collections on hold
Brown recycling bins in many Stirling Council areas were not collected recently due to the impact of COVID-19. The service did not have the resources available to do carry out the collection. There will be no further brown bin collection until further notice.
Volunteers wanted – local community response to Covid-19
Stirling Council and Stirlingshire Voluntary Enterprise (SVE) are now asking volunteers and local community groups to register and be part of a co-ordinated response to the Covid-19 emergency. By volunteering you can make a big difference in your area and on a national level.
Fifth Killin Music Festival postponed
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Killin Music Festival team have postponed their fifth festival until 2021.
