Over recent months there has been an increase in the amount of dog poo lying on the pavements in Lyon Road. This is a disgrace – it is fast becoming a dog’s toilet. Would the person or persons responsible, please buy some poop bags and clean it up. This is so selfish. There are children and elderly who may not notice the mess. Remember dog poo is dangerous for children as it can affect their sight. Get it sorted!

😮 Hi Willie. While I sympathise and agree that it’s unacceptable for ordure to be left lying on the footpath it could always be worse.
It could be lion poo on Dog Road.

I think we all know what dog it is, i think the next move is to post it tru the letter box of the offending householder…Just think how of the reaction from them when they step on it….Another thing that pis**** me off is the blue bags with dog dirt hanging on the branches of the trees along the old raiway track….why pick it up the then chuck into the trees………..
The top of the village at Monemore is no better, i seen a two guys, ( stay in the area) with 4 big dogs, and a trail of S**T half way across the Dochart Bridge…..Great thing to trail back onto a coach with on your shoe,, that will remind you of Killin for a long time..

Try Manse Road too – and yes, we know which dogs are responsible for most of that too.
None of the authorities seem to care, even though the law is being broken.

Main Street as well. It is disgusting.

On the subject of poo, how do you stop cats pooing in your garden. That is digusting as well.

I have to say as a visitor, and prospective Killin resident, my wife and I’s only negative obesrvation of the village was the amount of dog poo around – it was EVRYWHERE it seemed, and in large quantities. We (and a number of other visitors) had to clean childrens shoes of the stuff…..

    🙁

there are loads of things on the market, some will only be OK if it doesn’t rain – yeah right that will really work here!, but there are ultrasonic ones which emit a noise, and also some that spray water when motion is detected!

Good luck – all types of poo in public places is disgusting.

:mad:update on the dog poo situation I have seen a big husky type dog do it,s business at the foot of the steps outside the coop shop.if the owners do not clean up the mess the shop worker will have a good idea who the dog owner is if they read this. it is not so much a poopper scoopper that is required to shift it more like a wheelbarrow and shovel.

    Hi Hamish

    Could you clarify please?

1: Should the bottle me laid out horizontally or vertically?
2: Is there a specific size or shape of bottle?
3: Should the bottle have originally contained alcohol (and should the placer have just finished it off):)

I only ask so I don’t inconvenience my helicopter pilot when he comes to pick me up in the back garden of an evening.

    Cheers

    Dougie.

Well well, that senic little village of Killin that holds so many fond memories for me is now the capitol for dogs crap in Scotland.

C’Mon you cant think of something more productive for Killin to discuss than dogs crap? It’s a problem everywhere and the only soloution is to lose the dogs or clean up after them. Nothing worse than standing in dogs ****…..
