Hello , I am looking for some information regarding a fishing trip for myself and my son. We plan to visit Killin on Saturday 27th June were we would like to participate in some pike fishing. I have heard a good spot is were the two rivers meet before joining the loch. The info that i require is were to park so not to cause any trouble for anyone and also were to buy a permit for pike fishing for a day. We would not be any trouble and certainly will not make any mess to the countryside. I look forward to any response.

    many thanks
    Kevin

Hi Kevin, Pike fishing is doing quite well just now. Purchase a permit from News First in the village and ask for directions to Pier Road. Follow this road down until you see the Loch and beside the gate giving access to the path along the top of the Loch is ample parking. Followw the old railway path along the Loch Shore until you reach a huge rock. This is a favourite spot. Wardens will be out on duty checking permits and seeing whats happening ask any for help. I will be about myself.
If you have an arrival time let me know. All angling club members carry an ID card any of them can help if required just ask for their card.

Thank you Alex for your swift reply, the information you provided is exactly what I was looking for. We aim to arrive in Killin at around 9am on Saturday morning and will follow your instructions to the letter. Once again thank you for your time and information I requested.

    Kevin
