I read that your local historian, James Anderson, who died a few years ago, was an author of several local history books (maybe aritcles?). Does anyone know how or where to locate one of those books?

Hi James Anderson was involved in the publication of a booklets or pamphlets. One he wrote himself others he collaborated on. One in particular was the the gaelic hill names of Perthshire. James was one of the last native caelic speakers from Killin. He spoke Perthshire Gaelic considered by many along with Argyll gaelic to be the purist Scottish Gaelic. James was for many years a gardener for the Earl of Breadalbane at Killin which at the time had one of the world’s largest vines in the estate greenhouse at Kinnel. I do have a couple of James’s booklets but as I have only recently moved house I am unsure of where they are but when I come across them I will get back to you.
