I will be visiting the Killin area at the end of this month and I was hoping to be able to locate the homeplace/property of my McNaughton ancestors who emigrated to Canada approx. 1820. The opportunity to visit Scotland came up suddenly and I won’t have the time to do the required research before I depart. I can provide the names and dates of my ancestors, the earliest being Malcolm McNaughton married to Jean Campbell. Other names connected to my McNaughtons are McArthur, Kennedy and Fisher. Would appreciate any help/suggestions on this.

    Greetin’s Wendy,
Frae a kinna cloudy Glasgow the day.
I have only recently started looking at the Killin McNts again, since I recieved copies of several letters, including one from James in Milton Mornish 1877 to his cousin in Canada.
One of the most “Newsy” I have ever seen.
On file I have all hatches, matches, dispatches and census returns (1841-1901) from Kllin and Kenmore.
You could be registered in Killin parish, living in the same house one year, and you could be in Kenmore the next.
I have a copy of a Duncan McNaughton’s death record in 1866 in Revucky? Kenmore, father Duncan, mother Margaret McArthur, his son Duncan was the informant.
If it is Revucky, pronounced revookie, sometime Remony.
Will be more than happy to send al.

Hello David, Thanks for your response. I’m not sure at this time who I am looking for. I would be grateful for any and all records you can send me, but should I first give you some dates and names to narrow it down?

    Hi Pal,
If you e-mail me I will send all records.
Have quite a few copies of letters from McNts during the 19th century.
