Now that the weekend is over I would just like to say thank you to the organisers for another excellent Safari Supper, and I hope that Gregor’s Mum has recovered from being tired and emotional 🙂

🙂 Had a fantastic time at Safari Supper on Saturday night. Hosts were fabulous! Food delicious and company, as usual, great. The whole event is a credit to Elizabeth and Marion, their organisation is faultless and their time so generously given. A great thanks to all the hosts who go to such lengths to make everyone feel so welcome. A unique village event which truely reflects the wonderful community spirit.
A special thanks to David and Clare, Duncan and Sarah and Elizabeth and Sheila who made my Saturday night a one to remember! 🙂

Interested to know if there was any Croc, Kangaroo or Emu on the Safari menu ? The “Alligator Allan’s” in Oz are curious !

Alas no, not that I know of! Nevertheless menus were magnificent…
Clare & David delighted us with tomato and mozzarella cheese salad, Sarah and Duncan provided us with a choice between choice of coq au vin or haricot bean casserole accompanied by purple sprouting broccoli, new potatoes and salad. For desert, Sheila and Elizabeth offered apple tart, banoffee pie or chocolate mousse.
The food was absolutely scrumptious and the wine just kept on coming but the best bit of all was the welcome and the wonderful hosting which took place. It truly is such a unique little place filled with such generosity and kindness.
Can you beat that Down Under!

S’truth cobber digger, they can’t even beat an egg down under ! I have not found anywhere to compete with Killin, as you aptly describe “such a unique little place filled with such generosity and kindness”.

Gotta go throw another shrimp on the barbie and wash them down with a XXXX !!!!!!!!!!!
